Welcome to Essentials of Parenting: The Power of Love
Families that thrive are those that build on a firm spiritual foundation. Family is where it all begins. It’s what our culture is based upon. Our goal is to put an arm around families (strong, healthy families as well as hurting or struggling parents) and help guide them along the right path, through good times and tough times.
We are delighted to offer this program to you.
You’ll learn why having a healthy relationship with your child is so central to parenting. You’ll learn ways to prepare your own heart for parenting, tips for developing a positive relationship with your child, and practical techniques for affirming your child.
You’ll explore ways to help kids stand firm in a world that seems to be crumbling. Experts will help you tackle some of the most difficult parenting questions:
· How do I discern the difference between sheltering and equipping?
· Why should I be concerned about my child’s worldview?
· How do I approach body image and self-worth with my adolescent?
· What conversations should we have about sexuality and dating?
You will be more confident as you and your child move into the adolescent years with the tools provided in this course.
