Welcome to the Moderator’s webpage at First Congregational Church of Mansfield.

 

The Moderator is the representative of the Congregation and is elected by the members at an annual meeting to serve for a three year term. This person is an ex-officio member, without vote, on all Boards and Committees of the Church.  The Moderator acts as coordinating influence and a bridge between and among the Congregation, Ministers, Staff, and the Boards and Committees, presides at Council, Cabinet, and member meetings, and represents the Congregation in religious events and community events.  

 

Our current Moderator is Anne Seery Palmer. Anne has been a member of First Congregational Church since 1994 along with her husband, Randy. First Congregational Church is her spiritual home. She has served on numerous Boards and Committees prior to becoming the Moderator in January 2010.
